Gentle citrus and nice body make this coffee a great choice for medium-light roast lovers. Washed and processed at the Bendane station with great care, this small lot of coffee is among the more distinctive washed Ethiopians we've seen this year.

Sidamo is in southern Ethiopia and surrounds the Yirgacheffe appellation. A great deal of Ethiopia's washed coffees are produced here and a significant portion is simply purchased, consolidated and shipped with a generic Sidamo moniker. Small producer groups, often less than ten farmers, produce some simply amazing coffees. The care and separation at the Bendane washing station is an example of what can happen when a great coffee is preserved and kept from being dumped into a pile of mediocre coffee.
