Grown in the southern Yungas Valley by Martín Huanca on his 3 hectare finca, Chicoloma. Chicoloma sits in the clouds at a staggering 6400' elevation. Some of the highest grown coffee we've encountered in Latin AmericaHis Criollo (80%) and Caturra (20%) varietals provide a chocolaty cup with notes of black cherry, mango and peach. Truly a great coffee from a very small producer.
Martín is a member of the CORACA Irupana, a community based, farmer owned processing/milling facility, participated in the Cup of Excellence for the first time and finished with a solid 86/100 score and 12th place finish. Sacred Grounds President, Beth Dominick was a member of the Cup of Excellence jury for this competition and she is excited to offer this selection to you.
