Ethiopia Limu Semi-Washed Medium Roast
Product Description
Sweet and viscous with a bright citrus cup, rustic and charming to boot. This is a semi-washed coffee from a small producer group in Limu. A combination between dry-processed and washed coffee, the coffee is pulped then given a very short soaking period. The sticky mucilage is not entirely removed during the process, and when the coffee is spread out to dry on raised beds. The result is a unique coffee, bright and crisp but also sweet and creamy. Perfect for a really intense espresso or a silky press pot.Limu, a lesser known coffee producing area in the Oromia region in southern Ethiopia, brings some intriguing coffees to the cupping table. Limu is home to wild forest coffees and the genetic diversity is staggering. Coffee has grown in the forests of Ethiopia since before the dawn of man, so this coffee goes well beyond terms like "shade grown" and "organic" and rests simply as "native"
