Product Description
Idido Misty Valley crossed our cupping spoons a few years back and we were enchanted by the beauty of this coffee. It took us awhile to track down a small supply as this is highly regarded as one of the finer dry processed coffees from Yirgacheffe. Fans of the 2006 Hamma and 2007 Balekara will enjoy this coffee.

Grown in the Gedio area of Yirgacheffe and painstakingly processed and sorted by hand, Idido is a fusion of the classic citrus notes of Yirgacheffe and the noble fruit notes of a well-prepared dry-processed coffee.

Dry processing involves great risk. The coffee is harvested and left to dry with the fruit surrounding the bean. A veritable cosmos of sugars, ongoing enzymatic reactions and colonies of yeast shape the resulting cup. A misstep at this stage and it will remind you of being in a fruit orchard at the end of the harvest...you got it, vinegar!

The Idido Misty Valley 2008 brings us a coffee that smells like a berry cobbler is baking in your kitchen when freshly ground and brewed. Brown sugar, a mix of blue and blackberries, allspice, butter, and just like Beth's Berry Cobbler, a splash of fresh lemon.
